Inverter Technology

What is Inverter Techonolgy?

Inverter technology refers to the compressor within the outdoor unit of the air conditioner. The two most common types of compressors are the fixed speed compressor and the inverter compressor. The fixed speed will run at 100% of its capacity and will stop and start automatically in order to maintain the desired temperature.

An inverter compressor will vary its capacity in order to maintain a consistent temperature. This reduces running costs and noise created by the outdoor unit.

With a wider range of temperature modes for heating and cooling, the inverter is able to operate in even the most extreme outdoor temperatures. An inverter compressor can also operate faster than conventional air conditioners thus allowing the air conditioner to reach the set temperature faster and bringing you comfort sooner.

An inverter’s capacity will fluctuate in order to match the air conditioning requirements, so an inverter can be more energy efficient than a fixed speed compressor, as it does not stop and start its motor continually.

When the air conditioner is initially activated to either heat or cool, the compressor will operate at maximum speed to reach the desired temperature quickly. Once the desired temperature is achieved, unlike conventional air conditioners that turn the compressor on and off, LG’s inverter units adjust and constantly vary the compressor speed to maintain the desired temperature with minimal fluctuation to ensure that your comfort is not compromised.

Plasma Air Purifying System

LG’s unique Plasma Air Purifying System has been designed to generate fresher and cleaner air. The System is made up of 6 filters which purify the air in 4 stages. Each stage of the filtrationacts to reduce allergens, odours and fine dust particles from the environment.

When your air conditioner is not in operation, that is heating or cooling, with the simple press of the plasma button on your controller, your air conditioner be comes an Air Purifier.

Auto Clean

One of the main causes of odour emitting from an air conditioner is the mould and bacteria that breeds on the heat exchanger.

LG’s Auto Clean function dries the moisture on the heat exchanger, reducing the possibility of mould and bacteria breeding inside the air conditioner.

Depending on the height of the installation, LG air conditioners allow you to vary the speed of the indoor fan motor.

When installation is low, the RPM can be reduced but it can be increased when the installation is high to ensure optimum comfort levels. The speed can be adjusted via the slide switch on the back of the LCD wired remote.

Slim & Compact size

The indoor unit with its slim and compact size enables successful installation in confined spaces.

Fresh air intake kit (Option)

Using this kit, a duct can be fitted to increase the intake of outdoor air.

4 Corners Detachable Panels
The attachable/detachable corner design makes it easy to adjust the hanger during installation and to check for possible leakage in the drain connection pipe.

One Touch Panel Fitting Method
The simple push-up panel design easily connects the panel with the body, enabling the installer to use hands freely.

Simple Connecting Piping Position and Direction
Parallel refrigerant piping and absence of gas pipe / liquid pipe interference makes the pipe connections easier. Right-hand work and parallel piping enhance the convenience of installation. During installation, a position where there is no gas pipe/liquid pipe interference.

Reduced size and footprint of outdoor unit will provide a better solution for small offices and shops.

Swirl Swing

Swirl swing distributes air evenly throughout the room to ensure a more comfortable conditioned environment by adjusting the movement of the louvres.

Wide Operating Range

When cooling rooms in the event of low outdoor temperatures, the BLDC inverter compressor and outdoor BLDC fan motor are used to adjust the air flow and volume, with a view to ensuring efficient operation by allowing the air conditioner to keep operating at -10 turning it off.

Powerful BLDC Compressor

The LG inverter air conditioner comes with a BLDC compressor that uses a strong neodymium magnet.

The compressor has improved efficiency compared with AC inverter. Notably, during partial-load operation (30-45 Hz), the efficiency of the compressor increases, as compared to the existing AC motors. Subcooling effects of the bigger condenser will further increase the product’s energy consumption efficiency.

Weekly Programing

You can set on/off programing options on your air conditioning system for a period of one week.

Group Control

The optional Group Control can link and control up to 16 indoor units from one control device.
